The Wingate estate finally descended, by marriage, to John Wingate Jennings, Esq. whose only child heiress, Elizabeth, married, and Oct. 21, 1819 to George Pearse, Esq. of Harlington. He was a Magistrate and Deputy Lieutenant for Bedford shire and held the office of High Sheriff in 1822.^[1]
